Everybody wiped out.

We always seem to go to the zoo when the weather is insane. One year, it was pouring rain, this year it was hotter than blazes. Thanfully, Brookfield has a lot of indoor exhibits and we had a great time.

The ape house at Brookfield is truly amazing. It was the largest indoor animal housing structure ever made! It's something like 2 city blocks long!

Molly picked up Miss Emma and we got to spend the whole day with her. Emma is such a sweetie. She kept telling us about a nightmare she had. "It was just horrible." She waited very patiently to see the giraffes, who did not disappoint.
