Dress Code

Boo on the dress code for Lily's new school. It's just so boring & depressing & just lame. I'm glad that they don't have to wear scratchy uniforms & that it's lax enough that I can buy things at Target & Old Navy, but boo. Nowhere in the dress code did it say pink, or purple, or princesses, or Hello Kitty, or sparkles, or mass amounts of patterns, or basically Lily's whole wardrobe. She is so into dressing herself. She lays outfits on the floor with shoes and accessories before making a choice. (She also changes about 85 times a day which is super frustrating because her dresser usually looks like a bomb went off in it). Now I have to get a ton of blue or beige pants and PLAIN blue, white or red shirts. These are Lily's least favorite colors & I can just hear the complaining that will be my morning routine come September. We will, so help me, find the pinkest, shiniest, gaudiest, close-toed shoes on the planet to help balance her out. Boo.
